Rodney S. Scott was born in Austin, Texas, in 1954. The lifelong Texas resident graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1975 (B.A., Social Science, with high honors) and completed his legal education at Southern University School of Law (J.D., 1980).
He was admitted to the bar, Texas, in 1980; and also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is a Phi Alpha Delta and Honor Society member and worked in the District Attorney’s Office, in Gregg County, Texas, from 1982 to 1984.
Rodney S. Scott has been practicing law for over forty years – thirty-five of which have been dedicated solely to Consumer Bankruptcy cases. He is the only attorney Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law in Longview and one of only a handful in East Texas.
